Located in the over 700-year old Neuer Markt square of Vienna, Imperium Residence is housed in a building that was once owned by the legendary Schwarzenberg family. Steeped in history and tradition, the house was built in 1743, and is located conveniently close to the magnificent sights of the imperial city.The unique location provides excellent conditions to explore the imperial city with all its magnificent sights with ease, several of the most important ones only a few steps away.

Individually designed rooms and suites in the Imperium Residence are inspired by the best of Austrian royalty – King Franz Joseph, Princess Sissi, Queen Maria Theresia and Family Schwarzenberg, and recreate a “true Vienna” experience for our guests. Our rooms have been designed by top Austrian designers to create a mix of aristocratic flair and contemporary luxury. We pride ourselves on giving our guests the pleasure of an intimate and private stay, and for groups of 4-10 people, our guests can rent the entire residence, with the kitchen.

With our four elegantly designed rooms on each floor, we offer our guests privacy and comfort with an option to rent the whole Floor for groups of up to 10 guests. We are not a traditional “hotel”.

Our goal is to provide a personable experience with individual attention. The owners, and the staff, will be at your service for your entire stay. Medusa, our famous restaurant and bar, will be open for service from 12.00 – 23.00. Food, cocktails and a wide range of Austrian and international wines are available for room service.
